a special breed
my wife said I was gay too.... cuz of the cat
nice photoshop ;)
what the...! [thumbsup] i know the 916 deserves to be on a pedestal but looks like the wall is a great place for it too. [laugh]
I've got a friend who's backdrop on his game room bar is a MH900e in a glass display case. It sits on top of his back bar - it's awesome! [thumbsup]

I'd post an actual pic, but then he'd probably come after me!!!
that's not a photoshop, there's a thread somewhere out there showing them mounting it..........went through the hollow axles.........
talk about the stupidest use of a great bike. sorry but unless its a vintage race bike, and even then it should still be ridden and not put in a museum.
If that pic is taken in earthquake country, that cat is gonna be wearing a 916 as a hat.
i think it goes quite nicely with the rose-petal throw-pillow

Hey to each his own. My buddy has the one on display and about 50 others in his garage. Regardless, there's nothing wrong with having at least one "Show Queen"!!

[laugh] ...matches the drapes nicely, too. However, the surround speakers seem a bit off.
Wife: You're not putting that thing in the middle of the living room!
Guy: ....okay ;D

i agree if you got the money to blow then of course you are "allowed" to do whatever you want.
I just think its a shame when fine machinery is sitting idle and not working. afterall engineers worked hard to make a race bike basically for riding, and to not ride it at all is truly a shame.
even the garage queen bikes should still be ridden on occasion.

What? It's just an ordinary house cat. [roll]

It could be an eagle, or some kind of bird
That is pretty nuts
But I have a better one...
The sales guy at the local dealer told me he sold a guy 2, that's right 2 D16's - one for riding of course and the second one for ....
wait for it...
wait for it...
display in his foyer - obviously he wants it as a trophy/piece of art
he has expensive taste!!!
If I owned a pure display bike I think I'd still feel compelled to keep it maintained so that it could be fueled and ridden, should I want to.

Then it wouldn't be a display bike.. ;D
You're like me, I could never not ride a perfectly good bike.
I would buy a totaled bike and throw some new fairings on it to make it look new and display it...but if it was ridable I would ride it.
[thumbsdown] The room is too small and fugly for the bike imho, If it was in the man cave and not his wifes tv room I'd be fine with it.
I'd have kept my 996 under glass if I could have had a second one to ride. Friken beautiful bike it was.
