Post by: ungeheuer on October 16, 2010, 01:05:38 AM
.. looks like its 32mm to me...  damn.. off to the tool store to buy me the right sized socket...

But whats this?  The thing gets torqued up to 186Nm  :o :o ??  FMD, I have no idea how I'm gonna get it that tight.

put the gearbox in a high gear and hold the back brake

or

a piece of wood through the rear wheel against the swingarm

i usually rattle gun it off with the old chain fitted and the engine in neutral holding the rear wheel with my hand, that way the old chain takes the pounding.

i refit it with the motor in first and torque it up against the compression.  if it won't hold i'd put my foot on the brake pedal too, altho it's a bit of a contortionists act on your own.
