Hey gentlemen!

It's been a while, but I'm almost out of the mid-term/project woods. I've got my last midterm tomorrow, and I'm dyin to ride!

I'd be game for a quick bite after my test tomorrow. I'll be done around 8ish, and in miami.

Next week will be better for me. Work has me very busy. Jimmy suggested a Mexican place in Pompano. I'm still craving for decent BBQ. If anyone can suggest some decent roads for the weekend, then I'm all ears.

There is Azteca by Pine Island really really good Mexican and really good Margarita's but not if we are riding.  If you want BBQ then Scruby's which is close to Azteca is the only BBQ that is good. And the plus side its only a quick shot round the airport. And I'm sure Eric and i can come up with some roads with some curves in them.

Let me know. If it's during the weekend, then I should be able to find time. Please not in the morning.

I think Mexican in the morning is asking for trouble.

... and life throws a wrench in my riding plans.

I start my bike this morning, go to the car to grab my bag, come back... and there's a puddle of oil under the bike that's so big that I considered gathering two of each animal, building an ark and setting sail on it.

Looks like the oil's coming out of the filter. I needed my 15k service this weekend anyways. I'm going to go get a quart of oil and a strap wrench. Hopefully the filter's just jarred a bit loose and I can tighten it up enough to get to the mechanic without it seizing.

Pretend your a gyno and reach in there and make sure that you don't have two rubber o-rings in there. Happens atleast once to all of us. I have an extra quart if you need it.

Hasn't happened to me. Anyway, get that taken care of and we'll ride next week.

If we can't do BBQ this week, then I'll be going to the bike night tomorrow. I loved the Hawaiian buschetta.

When  are you taking it in for service? I want to ride Friday or the weekend! I want to eat BBQ!! So the loop around the airport/Griffin and food?

Probably on saturday - I should be good for a ride on sat morning, or just after work on friday

Saturday morning is tough for me since BBQ is not open. Friday is better for me.

If we go how early can you guys get out work/school? If you haven't noticed it gets pretty dark really quick.

I can probably get out of work a few hours early. Maybe ride around early and BBQ for dinner?

I usually get out around 5ish - but I can get out earlier if I go in earlier.

So can we meet at 5 somewhere?

Looks like Scruby's is by Round-up, just off the frontage-road for 595 (SR 84 i think?). If ya'll wanted to do a little ridin' round the airport area beforehand, we could just shoot on down 595 for some food afterwards.

There's a starbucks in the publix shopping center on the southwest corner of university and griffin. I wouldn't mind meeting there for a cup of joe before heading off. It's just a straight shot east on griffin to the airport, close-ish to 595 as well.

Is the Sawgrass closer to University or the turnpike?

The sawgrass meets 595 pretty much right at the same place that I-75 does... basically the start of alligator alley. That's west of both university and the turnpike (university is a couple miles west of the turnpike). It'd be faster just to take 95 to 595.

Probably the quickest route from west boca is the turnpike south - exit at 595, west for a mile or two, exit onto university and south to the univ/griffin intersection.

If you're equally close to both 95 and the turnpike, then they're pretty much the same - they're basically parallel in that area. Maybe the turnpike is quicker on a friday afternoon due to traffic, though

Ok, so I'll fiue out how to get down there. Most likely it will be through the turnpike to save some time.
