Title: GSXR Wheel spacers
Post by: kingmoochr on October 20, 2010, 08:39:45 PM
I am going to have wheel and rotor spacers made for my gsxr swap on my 95 900. I an have additional sets made if people are inerested. Should work on any non new monsters (gsxr is 25mm axle). Trying to gauge interest before pricing, so if you want a set say so. This will result in a gsxr swap being a bolt on affair for any 25mm axle bike.

You'll need caliper spacers for it to be bolt on.

You may want to be careful, when I did my gsxr swap my numbers were different than some others, specifically those posted for st-framed bikes.

yes, rotor spacers included.

so, my bike is a 95, if you have the same frame, it should be identical. check before installing. if the triple spacing is the same and the wheel spacing is the same, the spacers should be the same. either way, itll be close. just checking on interest. i am dropping off the triples, forks, wheel/rotors and calipers at the machinist. almost as easy to make 5 sets as just one, so im putting the offer out there. if you are unfamiliar with the swap, do some research first.

I assume you mean caliper spacers.  The gsxr has 310 mm rotors stock, you need to bump the calipers up 5mm if you want the stock ducati discs to fit.  Might want to think about including bolts if you're selling a package, it can be kind of a pain tracking everything down.

rotor spacers were required on the s2r build documented here to line them up with the new caliper mounting position. caliper spacers can be sourced from a honda dealer, they are used on the cbr. bolts too if you like, but there is more than enough thread to use the originals. im not trying to make a kit, just get some people over the "i need a machinist" hump to get some nice suspension on our monsters.

I'm interested too...can you do a set for a 05 S2R 800? Or is this strickly for previous models?

Sorry, still learning the little differences in model years.

itll be 25mm axle with early bike offset. i dont know if your bike is different, but if it was, it would only be in offset (check into that)
