Title: Valentino Rossi edition Ducati
Post by: 77south on October 22, 2010, 11:03:12 AM
We all know that now that Rossi will be racing for Ducati that at some point they will release a bike in tribute to him.  What do you think it will be?  An 1198? an updated Desmosedici?  Multistrada? Thoughts?  Photochops?

a new cucciolo...

That'd sorta make sense with the whole tribe of the Chihuahua thing and his dogs.

But historically it's been a SBK

I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

I have a picture of me with the Cucciolo in the factory in Bologna

the 500cc was his most successful class, so a 500cc supermono would be supercool
of course in yellow

If I had to guess..... Since there's a new SBK in the works, what better way to do an intro than with the DR.  Edition....

Wouldn't a Rossi edition 695 go even faster than the Capirex edition, easily breaking the 140 MPH benchmark?

A M695-VR would go lightspeed.

Ducati is going to make a Hypermotard??!!    :o :o

I think they should call it the Bird!  Or maybe even, the Eagle!!

why one model? they could do a VR46 paint scheme limited to 200 of each bike in the current lineup. It would be easy to do, appealing and drive collectors nuts trying to get one of each.

It doesn't matter to me as I won't be able to afford a new 695 any easier than a new D16.  [laugh]

I think this is close, but limited numbers only on the high end models.

A Rossi scheme low end model would do wonders for the home market.
