For anyone interested, don't forget that Back to the Future will be on a limited run showing at AMC theaters either this Sat or Next Monday.

Here's the press release:
"AMC Theaters is going to screen a digitally remastered version of "Back to the Future" on 158 screens in 40 cities. It'll be shown on two screenings, the first going on Saturday, October 23rd at 12:30 PM and Monday, October 25th at 7:00 PM. The guests will be given a full sized 25th anniversary poster when they buy their ticket, but of course it's in short supply."
Just got back from viewing the movie at the theatre.
It was great.
They didn't show us any previews to any other stupid movies coming out next year.
The lights went down, and the movie just started.
I wish they did that for all movies.
Good sized crowd in the theatre.
Everyone was having a great time.
And as we walked out, they handed out the movie posters.
1 per person, though if you wanted a second, all you had to do was ask for it.

I'm so bummed out. There isn't an AMC theater within 4-5 hours of me. And I've been looking forward to this for months.
We went and saw it and it was great - the sound was awesome, the picture looked great - and yeah, no previews was a treat!!! I've seen that movie probably 100x and noticed little things in the theater that I hadn't noticed before on the smaller screen. It was really neat to be back in the theater see it too - I remember seeing it the first time at a theater back home - it's hard to belive that it's been 25 years!
The theater was packed - nearly every seat was sold out. We got there early though and were able to get prime seats! We got the posters too however, the theater tried to "ration" them and not even half of the theater was empty before they were out....
...let me tell you the people who came to see the movie expecting a poster afterward were not pleased - along with everyone else we participated in a little protest and the result of the uproar finally lead to them coughing up enough for the rest of us!! We couldn't belive they didn't plan on having one for every seat in the house....idoits.... [cheeky] But we got ours and in the end that was all that mattered!!
For anyone who missed out. AMC is doing an Encore showing of Back to the Future on Nov 6th.
