Anyone know if the new M1100S Ohlins will fit on a 2006 S2R-1000 ?
they are definitely longer
even the 696 are longer
So if the diameters are right, it may actually be a good thing for those of us who use clip-ons cuz, we'd be able to install them on top of the triple, with out altering the handling.
Yeah longer is not a problem, just a little protruding up from the triples. Anybody know if the diameter is the same, or if the wheel setup is the same?
I am not sure about the wheel set up or diameters but the 696 796 1100 bottoms are for radial calipers.

So if a pair of these were to find their way to my house, what would need to be changed?
Most important I guess is will the forks just slide straight into the stock triples?
Assuming the triples are OK, I know I would need to purchase calipers. Probably the best move here would be to grab a set of stock 1100s calipers or try and find a set of monoblocks. Either way, can I use the stock S2R wheel and rotors?
If I have to find news wheels and rotors and lots of other crap then the project becomes too expensive.
Also looking at an S4rs shock, I assume that is a straight swap. Anyone have any negative thoughts on a stock ohlin?
OK - found doing more searching it does seem as though the S4rs ohlins is a straight swap. Managed to find one at a pretty reasonable price so I snagged it. Still wondering about fork options though.
hope you got the triples with those ohlins, from my understanding the ohlins for the monster s4rs used different triples than for the showa forks

Sorry - should have been more specific. I bought a rear shock from an S4rs, but I'm still looking at fork options, but that is good to know because I might have bought the S4rs forks if there had been some available at a decent price.
