Around the home or on the town, I'm a laid back kind a guy......but when I get on the bikes I'm a real DEMON !
Once I get out on the road , I completely feel like I'm in a world where I control time and space.
The faster I go the more I feel like I'm in another world.
As though at a twist of the wrist I can leave my troubles far behind.
I sail along eating up big chunks of land and soaking in what lays in front of me like a giant camera.
Scanning for Deer, [leo]s , sudden vehicles coming from unexpected places as I negotiate my way through the scenery.
Time seems to be lost.
It has no reference.
Only the change of the shadows .
Boy do I love to ride !

Well, according to THESE PEOPLE (http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/schizophrenia/what-are-the-symptoms-of-schizophrenia.shtml), no.
And from the symptoms you describe, neither are you.

swampduc, the Summer's heat is as bad for me as Winter's cold.
I ride mostly when the temps are between 50 and 78.
Most of my riding is Spring and Fall or when a cold front comes through in Summer.
My ideal riding temp. is 68 degrees.
The Hocking Hills are my Home.
A riding Paradise.
5 State Parks : Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle's Hollow , Rock House and Cantwell Cliffs all within a 20 mile radius w, terrific roads connecting them and that's just a start.

that I do. Off bike - easy going guy
on bike- make the beast with two backs off attitude is on the rev limiter
As soon as I put on my helmet, I am a different person. When zigzag traffic, I am totally different person. On the twisty, I am totally different person.
When not on the bike, I admit I am a total dork. :-(
^^^ Too easy, I won't go there. :D
You're right. Myself, I turn into aggressive, a$$hole rider, lane splitting, higher RPM than is really necessary, don't wait for sh!t, don't slow down for sh!t, don't stop for sh!t, except cops, and I haven't gotten a ticket on the Ducati, just in the Chevy truck. Go figure. I think it keeps me alive, much more focus than if I'm just putting along, looking at the little birdies. If I'm hauling bananas' around, I'm pretty damned focused.
Riding fast is a Spiritual experience for me.
I feel a Zen like emotion that lifts me above my surroundings.

Past the truck's hood and into the ditch on the other side? ;)
Actually I know what you mean, but the reward is not worth the risk. When I need to go too fast, I just take it to the track
on days when i am just out riding i do tend to get like that. but when im commuting to and from work i mostly behave myself [thumbsdown] too many [leo] on the freeway [bang]
now in small group rides 3 or 4 things do get a bit more out of hand but thats not my fault, i blame the guy leading the group ;D
