This thread will give you a visual idea of how a baffle functions. http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30927.0 (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=30927.0) You could fabricate one using an exhaust tip and mount it on or inside the udder. You could probably even modify the termi baffle to work with the udder. Title: Re: How does a Baffel work? Most of the aftermarket exhaust, with their baffles in are pretty quiet. Title: Re: How does a Baffel work? Post by: ducatiz on October 30, 2010, 07:15:32 PM Basically what hte title says. The cost + federal license fee + wait time for license approval might be annoying. ;D Title: Re: How does a Baffel work? Post by: He Man on October 30, 2010, 09:20:14 PM im going to pick up some steel pipes and try something. maybe get an dB software and mess around. id like it to be 75% close to stock level of loudness. I really really hate loud bikes. not sure why.

Post by: ducatiz on October 31, 2010, 05:15:23 AM The udder acts as a resonator as well plus the exits are angled up. Sound is omnidirectional, at least not the intensity. Try redirecting the udder first and see what you think.
I bet if the udder exited rearward it would be better Title: Re: How does a Baffel work? Post by: NorDog on November 02, 2010, 03:38:39 PM These exhaust questions always leave me udderly baffled.
Title: Re: How does a Baffel work? Post by: sbrguy on November 02, 2010, 03:55:08 PM put the stock exhaust back on or get an aftermarket one with baffles made, simple... or just get used to the stock ones. its an acquired taste
