Just received my Xcentrik Performance bellypan for my 696 - came prepainted; perfect match. 10 minute install, quality piece.. am a little concerned about how well the fiberglass will stand up to the heat from the headers (it's pretty close) but love it otherwise
I apologize for the craptastic pictures... they were taken with a cell phone and under horrible lighting.

It would be a nice touch now to get the underframe plastics painted to match as well.
Looks pretty good.
A LONG time ago, when I first bike my bike in 2008 I was thinking about going the route you did with the white plastic spoiler. Glad to see it looks as good as I had suspected.
You could either use header wrap to insulate the pipe or use some sort of spray or sheet insulation on the inside of the belly pan.
Thermal lining would be very effective at reflecting heat and protecting the pan. It's also cheap.

DEI reflectagold might be cool.
Nice belly pan. Do they have a site and other options? You know, i always thought the 1st mod on any bike would be fender eliminator: guess i was wrong.

It's from monsterparts.com, and not for the 696.
I want one just so I can install my light changer magnet!
This is what I have for my M796.

Looks good, very minimal. Some nice accessories there at Barracuda, I like their tail kit!
New guy question here, but what purpose does a belly pan serve? Not trying to be a dick, I just don't see what it does. ??? Thanks. ...Steve

I think you've identified exactly what it does ;)
Just a piece of aesthetic cladding IMO, not something I'd festoon my Monster with.... but each to their own :)
True bellypans are oil catch basins for certain racing classes or tracks.

Ok, thanks. I like the naked look too but I wasn't sure if it was functional, some how.

Does anyone know if the tail eliminator kit from Barracuda comes with the tail light as in brake light? It is says light, but that could mean licence plate light. Also for the belly pan, anyone know if the front cylinder still gets enough cooling air? Thanks.
