Title: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: somegirl on November 04, 2010, 10:53:37 AM This is a fun site:
http://cycle-ergo.com/ (http://cycle-ergo.com/) Me, "feet down" on a GSA: (http://cycle-ergo.com/StoppedImage?Scale&Compression=0.75&RiderHeight=64&Inseam=0.4375&ArmExtent=0.95&GripRise=0&GripPullback=0&SeatRise=0&Bike=38) Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: Heath on November 04, 2010, 11:07:02 AM Pretty accurate. Shows me flat footing a Streetfighter and barely flat footing a Hypermotard 1100 Evo. Which was how it was at the dealer.
Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: matt922 on November 04, 2010, 11:15:57 AM pretty depressing website for short people (28-29" inseam)
Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: Veloce-Fino on November 04, 2010, 11:48:02 AM Very Cool!!
Accurate too! I wonder if it accounts for footwear? Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: rideserotta on November 04, 2010, 12:00:16 PM That's pretty cool.
Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: Slide Panda on November 04, 2010, 12:20:02 PM I wonder if it accounts for footwear? Doesn't look like it. But you could abstract pretty easily. It shows me no quite flat footing a Hyper - but with my boots on I stand a hair taller than the seat. So if you figure boots give you a couple degrees lift at the heel you could get a pretty good idea of what you could flat foot w/ boots. But unless you're wearing some massive platforms Mrs. I, that GS ain't going to be a flat footer ever. Pretty much showed me what I already knew, the new MTS doesn't fit me :'( Thanks for sharing - Gene

Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: Massinova on November 07, 2010, 06:31:01 PM Holy smokes that BMW GSA is a tall bike, I'm 6'1" with a 36" inseam, and I'm just able to place my feet flat with little to no knee bend.
Title: Re: Motorcycle ergonomics Post by: ducatiz on November 07, 2010, 06:41:32 PM They need to include weight/body type for these.
Would be useful/depressing/hilarious to see how much your ass or gut hangs over. I sat on it at the show and felt like my ass was dragging the ground but dam it felt light as hell.
