Title: oem s2r rims - painted? Post by: eyduc on November 09, 2010, 07:01:20 AM I want to change the color of my white rims. The first thing I need to do is to remove the white color with sandblasting. Does anyone know if the oem rims are painted or powdercoated?

At least, now I know what to do about taking off the paint. If I paint tho, i can just do a light blast or sand then re-coat a new color. If i powdercoat, I'll have to sandblast off. another option is to just beadblast and clearcoat, depending on how the raw aluminum looks after beadblasting.
