Title: G&G Exhaust - Anyone Using Them? Post by: TitanMonsterS4R on November 12, 2010, 09:35:19 AM With winter coming and the new bike on its way I've been thinking about what mods to add. First thing that comes to mind is an exhaust. Does anyone have G&G exhausts mounted on their bike and if so how do they sound. I have Termi's on my 695 and they sound great but EVERYONE has Termi's. Looking for a rare sound for an 05 S2R800.
I've read the tons of threads about all the exhaust options available but nothing on G&G's. Want a nice deep grunting/bellow noise that you can hear at least 2 blks away. Thanks for the advice. Title: Re: G&G Exhaust - Anyone Using Them? Post by: Heath on November 12, 2010, 10:06:39 AM I had honestly never heard of that brand until this tread.
I love my Termi's on my S2R800. A really good non Termi option is Arrows though. Arrows thump like nobody's business and can be heard blocks away. I had a friend with Arrows on his S2R800 they sounded great. I have also owned Zards, sounded good but not like Arrows or Termi's. The Bad Gal Betty should sound pretty good for the time being with just udder and those down pipes. Title: Re: G&G Exhaust - Anyone Using Them? I'm running fully-cored stockers with a midpipe and they sound really good. I had Termis and they sounded pretty good too, but I wasn't fond of the look. Hey Heath - I notice your Termis are a different style than usual for the S2R800. I bought a Termi kit, and it was a right-side shotgun-style just like the stock config, but yours look different. Your mufflers are smaller diameter and are upswept at a more dramatic angle. What's the dealio with that? If I had gotten those I might have kept them because I think there is something about them that is better than the normal ones, however I don't think you can buy ones like yours anymore. Is it a full system? Title: Re: G&G Exhaust - Anyone Using Them? Post by: Heath on November 12, 2010, 07:15:35 PM I don't want to jack KneeSlider's thread so I will PM you the details of my set up.

Jack away.....Love to hear how you got them in that position as well. Title: Re: G&G Exhaust - Anyone Using Them? Post by: Heath on November 15, 2010, 11:10:17 PM Mine are different and not many people have them. They were sold as a slip on system that fit the s2r800 and s4r. They were later discontinued. I just happened to get a hold of the last ones Motowheels had. Hell after I bought them they had to dig through their inventory to find them. I almost didn't get them. The thing I like about them compared to the shot gun system everyone has is the exhaust tip on them. They are bigger then the shot guns making the cans look smaller. My mid pipe was the second type of mid pipe to be put out by Ducati Performance for the S2R800, made by Termignoni also. The first one you had to use the stock exhaust parts that connect to the heads to attach the mid pipe. The second type that they later came up with you didn't have to reuse any stock exhaust parts. Except maybe those little dog bone hangers.
Here are part numbers -Ducati/Termignoni mid pipe ( part # 979A00108 ) -Termignoni slip-ons ( part # 96025704B ) and an old pic... (http://mikemo.org/bikes/TermiDuc2.jpg) |
