Title: Cleaning / polishing carbon fibre?
Post by: cakeman on November 12, 2010, 03:13:22 PM
Hi, my carbon fibre is in good condition. It doesn't need to to be clear coated again. Just when I'm giving the bike a detail I want to make it shine. Ive been told to use silicon spay but after time it just leaves a white film.

Any advice?

Cheers

If your CF parts have been sprayed with an automotive clearcoat, you can apply car wax/sealant.

have your local body shop shoot your bits with some good UV clear!

DON'T use silicone spray.

It will make any paint work down the road almost impossible

Last time I saw Eric he told me to spray everything I could with silicone, especially if you were going to paint it.  ;D

What he didn't tell you is I charge per fish eye. ;)
