Title: Frame Thingies
Post by: DTR on November 12, 2010, 08:11:02 PM
OK, I'm almost ready to take the truckload of stuff to the powder-coating shop. I want to clean up the frame a little and it's been so long since I disassembled the bike, I don't remember what these things are. I'm guessing they hold the rearsets? If I cut them off and grind them flush is there a cost-effective alternative? I'm looking for solo ridin only ,so I don't need a solution for the pillion. Looks like the rearset mount.

I'm guessing it's a Hooped DSS monster frame?

You need those regardless if you make it into a mono....unless you plan on using S#R style rearsets.

Example:  (Seems like I've been using this image a lot lately...who's ever it is?!?!)

Ok Thanks. I'll leave them alone (for now), but the stock rear-sets will not be going back on.
