Title: Deltran battery tender pigtail already installed?? Post by: rideserotta on November 14, 2010, 08:31:36 PM I bought a Deltran Battery Tender Jr. for my '05 620. I went to install the pigtail to my battery just a few minutes ago and discovered one already attached. It looks EXACTLY the same as the Deltran's that I just bought and even has the same fuse number and markings on the fuse holder. Is this a factory pigtail for the Ducati trickle charger or is it a Deltran that perhaps the previous ownder installed? Can I safely use this one for the Battery Tender Jr. that I just bought or is that not a good idea? Not that it's a big to change out the pigtail but it's already routed neatly down the frame and I'd rather not swap it out if I don't have to.

Title: Re: Deltran battery tender pigtail already installed?? Post by: Heath on November 14, 2010, 11:24:40 PM I bet the old owner either forgot to take it off when selling or just figured they would buy a new tail when getting a new bike.
Title: Re: Deltran battery tender pigtail already installed?? Post by: sbrguy on November 15, 2010, 07:17:51 AM just say "thank you" the prev owner put it on for you, as long as the fuse is still go hook up the tender and see if it works, it probbably does.

I too, was pleasantly surprised to find that the '10 696 I took off of the showroom floor had the pigtails installed! Especially after I had looked into what was required to install them myself.... Came in handy for wiring a 12v adapter. Now it's getting cold & time to pick up a tender. I think I will go with the .Jr model. Cheers, Patrick Title: Re: Deltran battery tender pigtail already installed?? Post by: rideserotta on November 16, 2010, 09:32:02 PM I hooked up the Battery Tender Jr to the pigtail that was installed. Light on the charger lit up solid red - battery charging. A few minutes later it went to flashing green - battery greater than 80% charged. Hopefully it's solid green next. Looks like I'm good to go!
