Okay guys it is that time of year again to establish my goals for mods with my 2005 620 Dark. Here is what I am thinking for mods. Since I am living in Germany shipping from the states is more expensive so I am thinking DIY time. Here is a list of what I want to do.
-Remove emissions canister
-Tail Chop
-Move liscense plate to underneath
-Boomtubes
-Replace dual seat with single seat with storage compartment
-TPO Beast Air Filter system or open air box
I need some ideas I don't want to set lofty goals but I am getting tired of stock, and since I am deployed I have a bit of cash in the bank. Thanks in advance for all the great ideas.
if you do boomtoobs and beast air intake be sure to set aside money for getting the engine tuned
Gemany is hard on exhaust mods - be careful.
+1 on required tune (Power Commander?).
Which seat are you thinking about? 8)
SUSPENSION!
I am thinking about Sargent or DP. Any other suggestions although I did find a French Company that makes solo seats with a storage compartment where the passenger sits and instead of a cowl.
I am not sure which suspension to go with because I am short (5'6") and I still have to research what is legal and not in Germany.
i would say don't do anything with it, i've done moderate mods to my bike and honetsly if i had to do it over again i would have not done any instead just looked for a m1000 1-2 years after getting it to do as a straight swap, i want that dry clutch.
but hey do what you want and have fun.

That French seat is very nice, but also very expensive [thumbsup]
Mookie has a point about suspension. Depending on your ambition, a well tuned suspension might be the best go-fast-mod.
If you get caught with a loud exhaust, it may end up with them taking it off the bike and destroying it. No second chances.
PM Raux. He's in Germany too and might know how much of a risk this is in reality.
powder coat the swing arm, maybe even the forks and triples.
