What grade would this race in, Aunty? (Trying to convince a mate that he needs to come racing with me! ;D )
Oh, and would my M696 beat it? [laugh]

1).
2 Valve 750's (Ducatis) are "F5 Clubman" in Bears, and F3 in the DOCNSW Club Championship and in FXtreme Pro-Twins, unless in FX, you want to race "as" Naked Class, which faces the starter on the Pro-Twins grid, but scored seperately etc.
2).
The 696 is a pretty hot item, a 2 valve cross between 848 type, and a "2 valve 748R", it is 'new generation' as far as Ducatis go. The carbed 750 is a very different bike to ride but responds very well to all the well known 2 valve 'enhancements'. Cams, HC pistons, bigger valves/carbs/exhausts etc. Standard, and matched against the 696 it would have it's li'l red tongue hanging out. Enhanced, would depend on the rider, but it would be easier to go faster "faster" on the newer bike.
The price is right however, and he could expect to do even better than that. The M750 would certainly be one of the best beginers choices, being very inexpensive, and very easy/reliable to use in those first couple of years. [thumbsup]
amen to that, love my 98' m750.
what year is yours?
any non-stock bits i could be interested in?
