OK peoples ... this is a reminder.

Plan is to meet at Mount White Cafe (Road Warriors) for pizza on Saturday ... apparently they get the pizza thing happenin' about 6:30pm.

The latest forecast I have seen is pretty good ... so who is up for a cruise on the Old Road before stopping for a chat and chomp?

Any preference for meeting time and place?

  Betty & Jukie come from Gosford way so i sincerely doubt them starting from there......i thought it was this Thurs night.......if i am allowed out then i could meet you at Berowra Saturday night.

Nothing stopping us from meeting at Berowra other than a trip down the Old Road ... oww, my arm ... what time at Berowra? Maybe 5-5:30?

I'm the same as Brian on this one.... "if I'm allowed out" on a Saturday night.... Should be fine.... Nothing a bunch of flowers can't fix..

Nothing to stop you from bringing a pillion either ;D

Pillion footpegs are off for that reason..... They slow you down :)

Funny, I have ridden with a pillion and she had the opposite effect  [roll] [evil] [moto]

I may be along also, trying to coax the GLW into pillion with the fact Six95 is pillioning his GLW along.

Matty, if you are willing to  forego the fun and exilleration of the Old Rd by pillioning your better half......then in that case i will also work on it........i just need to extend my pillion pegs 200ml plus get one of those cumfy pillow puffy cushions. Or drag out "the uvva bike"......

Just arrived back home. Thanks to everyone for coming along.

Although it was on the cards for quite some time ... a few days ago when I started this separate thread there were only a couple of people committed. Momentum built quickly and we ended up with a really decent turnout - 15 in all I think.

Oh and it was good to have Trev back amongst us.

Sounds like it was a great evening. Sorry I didn't get along points are being spent on Dec 5th which happens to be another important occasion in my diary but Mrs is being very nice letting me out to play.

Sorry you weren't there too Matty ... no-one had a camera :P

Old road & Berowra Waters at night is just no fun, lucky the moon was out ! Great to catch up with everyone. Signora beat us to the Ferry at Berowra....... gee she can steer.

Well then perhaps I can add to that something:

• unique and attractive colour scheme without the outright exclusivity of say a bayliss edition superbike
• lowering link available
• rizoma rearsets available
• readily accepts a lowered seat off, say, a 695 Monster
• high-mount pipes are standard (as well as practically every aftermarket set)
• better (read: safer) suspension components than, say, a 695
• better (read: safer) brakes components than, say, a 695
• the track ability of an early model superbike without the impracticalities
• during periods of limited track time the bike can be set up for someone perhaps taller and heavier without too much drama and used on the street
• cost of a modified 695 + an S4R is significantly less than, say, a LE Bayliss superbike

No, no, no. Not only have I always admitted to having a girls bike but I have also always admitted to riding like a girl ... just not as well.

As for my feminine side ... well she always out-rides me and I am man enough to admit it [laugh]

Here is the long version :
When we came back from The MountWhiteducatiozmonsterpizzaextavaganza I noticed my clutch feeling a little soft.
In the morning my pee cup was empty  :'( , so off to my best DMF mate and neighbour Rob S for help.

We decided to pull the master cylinder off to inspect and of course stripped a bolt (well I did  :-[  [bang])
After an hour in the sun and Rob sweating and shaking to no avail so out came the drill   [puke] .
Thanks to Robs steady hand and more skill with the spanner than I ,with me watching and making the right noises.
Flushed and bled and back together all good.

But today I notice fluid leaking from said cylinder, called up Ducationly (MPL importer) and had a loooooooooong chat with Peter
mostly about the nice 999 race bike he wanted to sell to me [laugh] and a little about the slave.
Seems It could take me a while to get a re build kit  :(
So off to Motorcycle Weaponry  [thumbsup] in Mona Vale , Arthur the nicest Bike mechanic on the Nth beaches
is going to strip down the slave and see if we can source a matching O ring and seals if a proper de grunge
wont fix it.
Short version:
Anyone got an OEM slave cylinder hanging around the garage (after upgrading) that they can lend me for a couple of weeks if
1. We grunge removal is a no fix
2. We cant match parts
3. MPL can get a kit out in a week (this will never happen)

If not I will be back on the girls bike and Luba will be   :'(

either call frasers and others , gowies and desmo , i'm sure one of them will have some parts on the shelf

2nd place would be a brake place, they will have orings and seals around

3rd would be a bearing place, they stock seals etc as well

Blimey Dez, sounds like that S2R 1K might be a bit too much bike for ya!

I can swap you a 695 for it, if ya like.

Thanks for all the offers,  Arthur @  [bow_down] Motorcycle weaponry has it back up and snarling.
Luckily it was not the main cup seal but a lesser O ring which he managed to replace .
I have to say they give great service he threw it up on the lift first bike in the morning
pushing aside other jobs already booked  [thumbsup]  had it back in my hands by 11 am  [clap]

Recieved an email this morning
On hearing my MPL woes and never having a unit fail before Peter Martin
contacted MPL who had a reconditioned slave ready to send  to me for free as a direct swap
if I payed postage , but as a condition not to open or repair my one.
Unfortunatly I got the offer one day late as we had already cracked it open and repaired it [bang]

Cool hay , what a great company willing to stand by their product even after it was FOUR years old [thumbsup]
So I would highly recomend both Peter's company ducationly and mpl  [beer]
