bobspapa for offering to help me find the right helmet for me.
Bacon Junkie for just up and giving me a freakin' Shoei Helmet!
Bacon Junkie for taking me down to San Diego this weekend to pick up my new bike!
silentbob for (completely unsolicited) letting me know that he could have his friend sell me his old '93 900SS
silentbob for selling me the bike a very low price. A price so low it allowed me to get a bike for my wife too.
silentbob for letting Bacon Junkie and I stay the night at his place in SD.
Duck-Stew for all of the sound technical and personal advice he's given me in the search for a new bike.
Duck-Stew for finding a '71 Honda SL350 for my wife on the Albuquerque craigslist, going to look at the bike and then fronting the money for the purchase.
Duck-Stew for being willing to cram another project into an already hectic schedule. And for being willing to cart that little bike all the way back out to CA for me during his next visit.
NoisyDante for surviving his crash and working so hard to get himself better despite reckless drivers and uncaring nurses.
You guys are just friggin' awesome! Thank you!

Thankful for many things and many people

I'm thankful that when we picked up bacon junki and sac duc from the hospital
no one was dead
I have to admit that when we heard the phone call at D & P's house
I may have had a negative gut feeling for a few seconds
very thankful I was wrong

I'm thankful for this board's ability to keep me from spending the quality time I should be spending looking for a new job. Or at least that's what my wife says! [laugh] Seriously, this board and the incredibly knowledgeable and funny people on it keep me going through the hard times. I can't tell you how many times my wife has come into this room asking me what the hell I am laughing so hard at. Then her next line is "Oh, the Ducatii board... I should have known". She can't help it. She was born without the humor gene in her DNA make up... and I don't mean Ducati of North America. [laugh]

Trust me, alive is good. Alive means it can get better. Alive means you can make it better. Sorry your year sucked. There are a lot of people thankful that you are alive this year. And as soon as you stop being mopey and start making with the funny and witty again, I'll be one of them. ;D I keeeeed, I keeeeeed. Hang in there man. Lots of good people around. You all now what I am thankful for......I am thankful for the love that was directed to me in the form of PM's a couple months ago when I posted a rather frank letter to you all. I am thankful to my friends for keeping me alive when it would have been easier to just give up. I am thankful for the rain and a slippery slope one dark cold night when I was crumbling inside. I am thankful for so much I can never repay the grace and kindness shown to me this past year by those who truly love me. I am humbled by their actions and their words. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, be well always and do no harm.

My buddy that is in partnership on this deal was telling me how he watches the wild birds across from his place.
They walk to the height of land...
run downhill as fast as they can to take off and roost in the trees.
I guess the biggest Toms don't get very high in the tree. ;D
im thankful for those who've helped me out of a hole when i needed you the most! I will be there for you guys and anyone else who reaches out when you need me. :)
I am sincerely thankful for the close friendship of 'The Bacon Junkie' and his successful efforts to help me move home.
He organized a $ drive back in April to help me keep a '95 M900 that meant a lot to me (was built by me for a friend who passed away (non-moto related) a few months later). The $ drive was here on the board drawing from the love and support of the membership here. The drive failed it's goal financially, but not a single donor requested a refund and the $ donated was fairly substantial and came at a crucial time. Were it not for the love and support o the membership here, well... I'd still be here in NM, but things likely wouldn't be as good as they are now. Again I thank my close friend and all the donors who helped me through a rough patch both financially and emotionally.
I'm thankful I was able to help Sac Duc return to the motorcycling he loves (riding twisties quickly, (afterall who likes commuting?!?) and that I was able to help Polpetta find such a lovely little CB just a couple days ago...
I'm thankful for the crazy NMMR crew that has welcomed me with something more than open arms. They're goofy, hilarious, genuine and generous. Thank you Guys/Gals!!
I'm thankful that my life is coming together and that it still includes me riding motorcycles and hangin' out here on a place I dearly love.
