So I sold off my 2x30gb OCZ Vertex Turbo SSDs I was running in RAID0 as my boot drive.
I also sold off my pair of GTX295 video cards.
I replaced my SSDs with an OCZ RevoDrive 120gb PCI-E SSD and my video cards with 2 GTX470s.
After benching the new SSD, I am getting 538mb/s reads and 444mb/s writes with random access times of <0.1ms.
The OCZ Vertex Turbos in RAID0 were getting 415mb/s reads and 202mb/s writes with the same random access times.
Granted, the average human can't tell the difference but rendering and encoding is SO much faster without the SATA2 bottleneck.
So my current specs are:

I'm so jealous I can't even read it all the way through. I'm sadly stuck with an aged AMD64 with 1gb of old school ddr and a 64mb nvidia card... I can't even watch youtube full screen (1920*1200). The most fun I can have is with a lenovo t410 laptop for testing software @ work. core i5 w/4gb ddr2. x64 *nix hauls ASS! on that laptop.
