Title: Sport1000 Termi exhaust on a S2R? Post by: eyduc on November 25, 2010, 08:27:00 PM I found a pic of an S2R with what looks to be a Termi 2-1 ss exhaust from a Sport 1000. I believe it is the same ds1000 motor. Does anyone know if it will fit and what was needed to make it fit? If not, what is the prevents it from fitting?

It is probably a custom job. Title: Re: Sport1000 Termi exhaust on a S2R? Post by: eyduc on November 26, 2010, 04:29:19 AM (http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/2721/dsc01204vq8.jpg)

Title: Re: Sport1000 Termi exhaust on a S2R? Post by: eyduc on November 26, 2010, 11:52:14 AM It is a sweet bike but no other pics. I found it in the google images (s2r1000 keyword).
Im pretty sure it had to be modded to fit. Also, it looks to have s4r wheels. Does anyone know if these will bolt up? Title: Re: Sport1000 Termi exhaust on a S2R? Post by: kopfjÀger on November 26, 2010, 12:03:00 PM Supertjeduc has a 2 into one on his bike, I'm sure he will chime in.

Post by: Buckethead on November 26, 2010, 12:18:13 PM I've got a set of S2R BoomTubes on my Sport 1000. Clearance between the vertical cylinder pipe and the swingarm crossmember was kind of tight. Took a bit of "convincing."

I looked into putting this exhaust on my old S2R (and later an S2R swingarm on my S) before I replaced it with a Sport1000. The shape of the vertical cylinder's header pipe on the S puts it in a position that would not allow the standard shock location on the S2R. After looking at the pic a little more, the swingarm (where it comes off the motor) doesn't look all that stock either. This bike is in Spain, maybe it's the handiwork of RD? |
