Title: "Honey, what do you want for Christmas?" Hmmm...
Post by: rideserotta on November 27, 2010, 08:38:22 PM
I'm fairly new to Ducatis and get this question from my wife. I don't need or want a new bike. What should I have on my list? I'm thinking of smaller (less than $250) items. Gear, clothes, accessories, etc. Let me have your ideas.

You want us to tell your wife what you want for Christmas?

You want a bottle of 30+ year old scotch, and you want it sent to my house.

+1 on the pitbull stand. makes all maintenance much easier.

also look into the chain tension adjuster and any other standard tools you may not have.

orrrrrrrrrrrrrr

heated gear. an electric vest is worth its weight in gold this time of year.

Pitbull stand... Ok, that goes on the list. I'll pass on the heated gear. I'm 7 miles from work and pretty tolerant of the cold. Plus, I'm in the south so winters are short.

Tools for common bike work if you don't have them - here's a discussion

A rear stand has been mentioned. That's clutch for doing your own work.

W/o knowing what you've got for gear and preferences it's pretty hard to make reco's there. But perhaps a nice set of gloves if you don't have ones you just love.
