RIP Leslie Nielsen.
Your acting in Airplane is one of my all time favorites.

Thanks for the laughs.
Rest in Peace.
I hadn't seen that yet.
Didn't care for his movies but he made a lot of people laugh.

Nice Beaver!
RIP Leslie. :'(
RIP indeed! Every time I even think about him it brings a smile to my face! I'll never forget a big group friend summer vacation trip to Gulf Shores, AL in 2004 and all the familys stayed at the same condo building. It was our turn to do the group lunch and everyone was in our condo. "Airplane" was on TV and all the guys naturally gravitated to the den to watch it. I'll never forget how much we laughed our ass off and how much our wives pissed and moaned that we wouldn't walk away from the TV and eat lunch. Screw lunch... we were laughing our asses off! How do you eat lunch under those conditions?
It would be my dream to find my personal niche (as he did with the comedy flicks he did) and make people happy and laugh. As I said before, I can never think of him as an actor in the funny movies he starred in and not smile and laugh. I am sure he would approve! [thumbsup] [wine] [clap] [popcorn] [bow_down] God bless... we all need something to laugh at. And he provided that. ;D
I once saw Kareem Abdul Jabbar at an airport in Lubbock, Texas. Unfortunately, he was turning away autograph-seekers, and so it was all I could do to keep from going up to him and saying "Roger, Roger. You've got clearance, Clarence"
You brought many smiles to my face. May you rest in peace, you hilarious, irreverent bastard...

of course everybody knows the silly stuff he did later in his career but in another age he dominated sci-fi television in Forbidden Planet.
