Through no fault of my own, I have been selected to go on a cruise through northern Europe next June.
The last time I was in Europe, I was following the Grateful Dead, and I expect things have changed just a tad since then Plus I don't really remember much except the music, the Afghani hash, and the Nurburgring)
I'll be visiting Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Talinn, Warnemunde (Germany), Aarhus (Denmark), and Oslo.
Any advice on things to do, eat, see, not do, not eat, etc.?
Unfortunately, I won't be spending more than a day in any of the cities except Copenhagen and St.Petersburg, so extended side trips are out.
Also, no hookers, or opium dens, please. I really don't care if Helga made your whole trip worthwhile for twenty Kroner.
Go see the cruiser Aurora http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_cruiser_Aurora (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_cruiser_Aurora) in St Petersburg. It's where some of the first shots of the Russian Revolution were fired.
