I found this interesting. It actually kind of looks like a moto tank.

Says right on the photo it's motorcycle inspired. I'd hope it looks a bit like a motos tank ;D
Saw one of these in my office parking the other day. It's an odd looking creature. A bit like a mazda 3 5 door, a Smart car and an Infinity SUV got it on in some sort of odd DNA cocktale
Do you supposed it expands and can't be unlatched ? ;D ;D
mitt
That car's fuglier than sin. We saw one at a Motor Trend autoshow. [puke]

The front grill along with the whacked out head lights makes you wonder if they just couldn't make up their minds.
For what it's worth though. Here's a better angle on the console:

I think that big plastic colored consoles just look really cheap.
Nissan's got all sorts of crap that you can add to it. Try it out if you're bored:

The body color plastic interior does look tacky. We had a PT cruiser rental a few years back that had the same kind of color plastic interior accents. I guess to each his own. There was also a reference that the gauge cluster was motorcycle inspired. I wonder how many people have actually thought to themselves "I really wish I had a car who's styling was inspired by motorcycles."
It looks much better in person, IMO. Lots of fun to drive as well.
I think the car looks lovely. Better than my '92 Civic ghetto edition.

I really liked the early 90's hatch back civics.
I'm actually considering buying it. I hated the Murano when it first came out but loved it after I drove it for a rental. Its just a mini version. I still don't like the Rogue though. The Juke is great on gas too. I've been wanting a 4 door Jeep Wrangler forever but the shitty gas mileage gas been steering me away. As for looks, I guess one could say "it's so fugly, it's cute". :p
I kinda dig it, the commercials make it look hideous...that pic looks kinda good and I quite like the moto tank console
First Test: 2011 Nissan Juke SV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKmQu0-3vWE#normal)
Hmmm..I didn't like the final comments. It rattles unnervingly off-road. I was hoping it would have some capabilities off the highway. When I looked at it about a month ago..I didn't notice the motorcycle looking console. Maybe because I didn't see it from the passenger side angle that the picture shows. Still..looks like a fun vehicle to drive. A lot better looking than the 4 door Mini.
try this........I went to one of the links and played with the color schemes and the stripe details./ I came up with a white car with the red/black door pillar stripe kit. It looked way better imho.
its kinda like the configurator we have to play with bikes on DMF.
New Nissans look overstyled to me. I had a nissan pickup that was a money pit and vowed never again, but new designs cause people to reconsider that sort of proclamation. I like that they're aggressively trying to draw attention with new looking vehicles, but not the end product.
The juke does not make the short list of cars I'd buy in 3-4 years when I plan on replacing my Subaru.

I have serious concerns about the direction that Nissan is going when they do stupid stuff like this:

It's like they're just copying the PT cruiser. [thumbsdown]
They are trying to get in on the Kia Soul market, which are very popular.
I'd say that they can't be having much luck with that so far!!

The Juke isn't made for the Kia Soul market...the Nissan Cube is:

I think the Juke is aimed at the young, single, professional, city-dweller market. I think it looks pretty cool, although I haven't seen one in person. I really like the Murano though.
In general I'm a big fan of Nissan. I had an '88 Sentra in college that made it to 120K miles with no problems (I sold it)...and my current '04 Xterra has 83K miles with no problems. [thumbsup] My wife also used to have a Maxima, which was a great car, and her current G35Xs is a nice car as well. [thumbsup] They seem to be bomb proof...my only complaint is the gas mileage kinda sucks.

thats interesting, i assumed the Qube was aimed at the "ugly, but highly functional headroom" market that the Kia Rondo had

That looks too much like a station wagon to appeal to the potential Cube, Soul, Scion xB buyers IMO. [puke]

we rented one. it is ugly as sin, but the interior is awesome. in AWD with the V6, it is perfect except for the looks.. fugly fugly fugly
I may to test drive the Juke right now. I have a dealer a block away and are them on the road regularly. Its just a mini version of the Murano.
*awaiting MR I's comment that IZ is just a mini version of a normal human being. *f_cker! >:(
Anyway, I really don't know is SO hideous about it?!
Not a lot of space inside but for a couple with a dog, its perfect size for zipping around town.
Btw..word prediction on a BB sucks!
Does your seat suction to the window or dashboard?
Hey guys...look at that steering wheel. That IZ HUUUGE!!!
