Title: Hello From NY (Albany area)
Post by: Monster-Jay on December 05, 2010, 04:52:23 PM
Hello All,

My name is Jason (some call me Jay); I am new to this forum, however I have been lingering for a couple of months reading up to help me make a decision on which monster I wanted to buy.  I finally settled on a 2011 M796 ABS (Red); I toyed with the notion of buying used, however I really wanted ABS and ultimately I didn't want to inherit someone else s problems.  So far I am really enjoying the new bike; sadly I just put her to bed today with a fresh oil change for the long winter slumber.  :(

Short Bio:

This summer was my 1st season riding street, I have been an avid off roader terrorizing the Mojave deserts of California for a number of years (15 or so).  I moved to NY about 3 years ago and have not been able to get in the hours of off road that I desired, so I decided to go street.  I decided to go with a Monster because I have always wanted one since I laid eyes on one so many years ago, I never thought I would ever own one.  I started riding over this past summer on a Suzuki SV650s; now that I have my Monster the wife can finally have her bike back.  ;D

Professionally, I have worked in the wind energy industry for over 10 years now in various roles.  I am thankful to have such a fulfilling job, especially in today's poor economy.

I look forward to finally participate in some of the interesting discussions in the forums; ride safe everyone!   [thumbsup]

Thanks for the welcome DuCaTiNi.  Will post pic below; I have not done anything to her yet except for remove the stickers from the frame.  I stuck them all in a lamination pouch and hot glued it under seat; stickers are well protected and are easily available for reference.
