Dear Ducati monster brainstrust
^Anyone used or had experience with these ? ^
Quoted price US$6 +US$20 POSTAGE
Or are they available here at a competitive price ?
After installing a LED tail/brake light on both bikes I have noticed
that they are so bright the OEM indicators
get lost and are hard to see.
I quite like the original Monster indicators ,IMO they suit the bike as I find a lot of the aftermarket
LED indicators are too small and look to angular and modern on such a classic old school bike [thumbsup].
So I would prefer to keep them but get brighter 8) .
So let me get this right, you want to use these bulbs in your original indicators?
If I'm thinking right(seldom), the LED bulb would be facing 90 degrees to the lens, then it would'nt work 'cos LED's need to be facing outwards, like your stop/tailight is facing, if that makes sense.
Mmick
From someone who has been through a few indicators/tail lights in his time.
I am of the same opinion as you 2dogs I like the look of the classic monster indicators
After trial and error I've come out with what I have now.
The bulbs you post look more like tail light globes though and not indicators.
I had an LED bulb in the tail for a while but found no real brightness difference.
Though they are extremely pricey you might want to have a look at Kellermans.
They have a similar mini shape of the classic indicators and are the brightest things I have ever seen.
My view of the world of indicators/tail lights.

DIY, ya wuss!
Ouch :o
It was intended to be DIY .......pay money.........bulb arrives........unscrew lens......install new bulb......re screw lens......push indicator switch........light goes ......on....off.......on......off = DIY Two Dogs style or is that doggie style [laugh]
How was the house hunting ? [laugh]
Hey Two Dogs just checking in from Tassi [thumbsup] :-*
I think you will still need to install resistors if you use them for indicators,
not just plug and play. :-\ ie flash too fast :-\
I was at whitworths marine in Darley st Monavale and they have a supply of led lights might be worth checking out as with Autoban they stock them. :D
Cheers Rob
Hope your enjoying Tassie and its maps ;D
We missed you on Sunday :(
Why not something like http://www.cutter.com.au/products.php?cat=Cree+XRC (http://www.cutter.com.au/products.php?cat=Cree+XRC)
In amber.
Then just add a resistor in series, and mount them to a bit of aluminium inside the blinker...
Dez.......the guy who i get my HID kits from also sells LED bulbs.......and is at Castle Hill......worth a phone call i feel.........Matty.......while on the subject........your rear indicators are very hard to see.....are you using clear or orange globes mate..?
They are LED Brian.
Perhaps you might need to be about as close as Mmick was going into the Caves, that was about 2-3 metres :D

Two Dogs
I tried that kind on my S2R and IIRC they didn't blink fast, but known results are all over the range...
(it just might have been one test buld. 2 or 4 might be different)
There is one serious problem - it's too big for the lens to fit over it. (oval blinkers)
Also, LEDS are usually very directional, they don't use the reflector to spread the light and will be hard to see at an angle.
Thanks for sealing the casket on this plan stopintime
hmmm now what's plan B ???

Are you just pitching unnecessary carbon items at our poor mate 2dogs.
