Title: Winter 696 PSI
Post by: 696DCRider on December 10, 2010, 10:09:07 AM
What PSI are you guys running in your tires in the winter time?  I've been confused about how much tire pressure I should be having in my tires now that it's really cold around these parts.  Any help would be appreciated.

I run 32 psi.

Isnt the rule of thumb to run the PSI slighty higher in colder temps as the tire does not get as warm and the air does not expand as easily.

Someone else actually also mentioned this to me recently.  I always heard people say to run tires lower in the winter for some reason though.

Lower air pressure raises the tire and air temperature faster.
