It's not only the shorter size, it's the turbulence behind the rider - it pulls the water in. There is a 100% dry fix though.... (at 100 mph you outrun the turbulence'd water) (so I've been told....) Get your fiberglass kit out and and extend the mud gard around the rear tire almost all the way around and the problem is fixed. I however removed mine and when i ride in the rain it cleans the rear shock.

I agree if you're wet you're wet. the only really bad situation would be driving just after rain and the rest of you is dry but still your feet are gonna get wet so........ [bacon]

since I dont own a car and rider everyday rain or shine I can say that as long as you wear gear suitable for the elements, the wet is no biggie.... FYI- I bought a Fieldsheer cyclone suit over the summer (for wet weather riding)...
