I can't believe there isn't anything on here about this.....
It seems like all there is in Southern NM is fuel with 10% ethanol in it. I used VP MS109 in my 04' 999, but was wondering if anyone has used it in a recent year model Monster. I have a 09' M1100S. I am considering using in 50/50 blend or 25/75. I understand that it is oxygenated and is corrosive to metal tanks (doesn't the M110S have a plastic tank?).

Unless you are modifying your timing curve and/or are running more static (and dynamic) compression....there is no point.
Run the lowest octane fuel you can WITHOUT having the motor detonate = more power.
OP probably knows this, but the higher the octane the slower the flame-front (burn), which is why higher octane fuel is used with high compression/timing/boosted applications.
Am I correct to assume you are interested in using VP MS109 to avoid E10? I am not totally familiar with that product, but in general oxygenated race fuels are not only corrosive to metal fuel tanks when not run dry. It is also corrosive to some other metal parts like your fuel injectors and possibly other parts. It is also real expensive, no?
mostly to avoid the E10. I was going to mix it 25/75 or something like that. Although i found a 100 gas, gas station in town yesterday. im not really looking for HP, although i am putting a full termi pipe on it soon.
Race fuel isn't a great idea in a street bike.
As howie stated, corrosion is a major issue.
race fuels also will eat at fuel lines and anything rubber/plastic if left in. next time you see a AMA/wsb etc check out how they mod the tanks to make it easy to drain fuel, thats why. but my god does race fuel smell good. it just smells fast. [bacon][bacon]

Maybe I'll put the the fuel i have in my weedeater.
weedeater+vp=weed destroyer or you could spray the fuel on the weeds, that will take care of them lol [bacon]

I would also be interested in knowing how you would adjust the curve for the VP fuel.
We run VP in race carts and the jetting required for it won't run above idle on regular 93 pump gas because it floods the engine.
