Title: Sidi Doha's Post by: island_duc on June 10, 2008, 05:33:45 PM When I tried these on for the first time, I found them to be surprisingly comfortable. Now that they're breaking in a bit, I 'm finding them to be really comfy, although a bit hot. Overall a thumbs up [thumbsup]
Now who the hell is going to help me put these bar end mirrors on? Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 10, 2008, 07:52:05 PM We need to schedule another DIY day. Those mirrors should be a piece of cake though, what sort did you get?
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: teddy037.2 on June 10, 2008, 08:06:14 PM IIRC, he's got lane splitters...
hell, if we dally on this mod day long enough, R-Lo might have hisself some pipes for me to mount [cheeky] Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 10, 2008, 08:40:19 PM What about those Conti's that you are getting. ;)
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: teddy037.2 on June 10, 2008, 08:49:19 PM ummm, that's kind of the implication, capt. obvious :D
although, I have a severly... like, uber-stupid thought about them pipes. so I fig, pick 'em up, bolt 'em on to see how I like the sound (but I'll have to fab hangars for it), and look into the feasibility of what I've got in mind. and if all that is shiny, then I've got arrows for sale on the cheap. Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 10, 2008, 09:19:52 PM Yep yep yep! Too bad those Arrows won't fit my bike.
And oh yea, eat a dick. :-* Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: teddy037.2 on June 10, 2008, 10:24:52 PM at least buy me dinner first...
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: eltristo on June 10, 2008, 10:31:50 PM But if you have dinner first, will there be room for, umm, dessert?
[cheeky] [puke] Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 11, 2008, 06:31:31 AM But if you have dinner first, will there be room for, umm, dessert? My thoughts exactly! I figured I would just get you all liquored up first instead. ;) Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: MadDuck on June 11, 2008, 08:48:23 AM When I tried these on for the first time, I found them to be surprisingly comfortable. You think those half boots are hot? You should try the full Sidi's in this weather. Makes me wish I got the "airs" except I like my feet to stay kind of dry when driving through rain. Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 11, 2008, 07:00:07 PM I never have had much of a problem with my feet getting wet when caught out in the rain...
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: eltristo on June 11, 2008, 08:18:52 PM You don't have the full on air boots though. Or did you previously?
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 11, 2008, 09:30:46 PM I have the Strada Air boots now.
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: eltristo on June 12, 2008, 10:59:06 PM We have the same boots, but I thought the airs were the full perf. My mistake.
Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 13, 2008, 12:04:35 AM We have the same boots, but I thought the airs were the full perf. DAMN!! That would be seriously breezy!! I don't think I would want something that aerated. I am pretty stoked with these boots that we have and couldn't really ask for much more unless I went with something a bit more track related. But seeing as how we don't have a track... Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: eltristo on June 13, 2008, 07:58:44 AM I'm content with the airflow on mine as well, though I do wonder what the perf boots would feel like.

I'm sure whoever is riding behind you wouldn't want you having something that breezy either! [laugh] Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: teddy037.2 on June 13, 2008, 11:03:57 AM I'm sure whoever is riding behind you wouldn't want you having something that breezy either! [laugh] oh, snap! Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: DRKWNG on June 13, 2008, 07:00:57 PM I'm sure whoever is riding behind you wouldn't want you having something that breezy either! [laugh] The force is strong with these!! Actually, I have not been blessed with the swamp foot. Kind of surprising considering how much time I spent sleeping in the muck while in the Balkans, or the time in Africa... Title: Re: Sidi Doha's Post by: island_duc on June 15, 2008, 11:08:42 AM I rode with these for the first time last week. Still rating 'em a definite thumbs up. The only thing that's weird about them is the diminished 'feel' around the toe box. They're not steel toed, but they're really hard. (I guess that's the point, huh?)
