It's a full sized keyboard. I think they mean that you don't depend on the feel of the keys when typing.
Yeah, I like some feedback from my keys. Still using an old IBM keyboard on my desktop that makes a satisfying sound and feel when you push a key.
I know what you mean about the "feel" of a keyboard.
Here's the one I have on my home PC and wouldn't trade for any other:

It just "feels" right.
Besides the feel of the keyboard, the entire motion of typing on a touch pad is different. On a regular keyboard you can just push straight down but on the touch pads you often have to lift up and then push more like a tap. It just feels odd. That and now that I've injured my left index finger and don't use it to type I move my hand a lot when I type and a touchpad keyboard would be nearly impossible for me to find the correct hand placement without looking.
Real men use this keyboard.
