aprilia funny commercial. real bikes.for real men! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5GAhn8Raxg&feature=player_detailpage#normal)
[laugh]
Was that a 620 he was riding?
I can honestly say, that Peg Perego musta had a dead battery, cause that thing moves much faster than that!
good one. now, can we have Ducati's response? [coffee]
THOSE RAT BASTARDS!!!!
THIS MEANS WAR!!!
[evil]
all I can say is....they should be glad it wasn't KTM making that commercial...the guy would have pulled away from the stop on 1 wheel!!!
as it is the guy on the Aprilia almost got run over at the stop sign.
[laugh]
Holly crap : Carl von Clausewitz war. I thought he was getting ready to jump in the pool!
[clap]
Low blow! That hurts!
I was thinking about getting my son that two gear speed demon.
they even put the espresso joke in it... damn, that's good.
At least it wasn't one of the new monsters - that would have been really embarrassing.
;D

That's a great commercial. Even though they dis'd my 620!!
Here's the Ducati response.
Ruben Xaus on the Hypermotard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yL9pV0TMa2Q#normal)
^^ weak at best.

Yeah, Ruben Xaus can't ride for shit.
One of us should probably go teach him some stuff.
'Cause I know I've done plenty of knee-down, one-handed powerslides.

Ask BMW how good he rides.
Xaus shoulda had a Ham sandwich.

He's referring to the response not riding skills. And he's right... not clever at all. Needs to some creativity with it.
Seems to me Aprilia is smarting from all the co-branding that Ducati has done.
My 3 year old has the Peg Perego Ducati.
He already identifies with the brand. He shits a brick when he sees one of my bikes out and already does the "twist wrist" VROOM VROOM!
Ducati did a smart thing making that little bike -- and all the toddler-sized clothes.
He will ride a bike one day and will always have a soft spot for Ducatis.
When I leave for a ride, there is something fun about him yelling out the door "WHEELIE DADDY!"

Oh oh. Just were are your loyalties? When Ducati is attacked from the outside we must rally in her defense.

+1 My kids go nuts over my bike too. A student of mine who went home for the holidays parked his R6 in my garage for winter. I fire it up every fews days and ride it around to keep it 'fresh'. Yesterday when I pulled his bike out my 3 year old said, "Daddy, take the real bike." I said this is a real bike. He said, "No it's not... it sounds weird and it's not red." (acutally he said "it's not wed") He knows passion at 3!

Anyone know the difference between Paris Hilton and Aprilia?
Less people have ridden an Aprilia.
Alternatively, Paris Hilton needs less maintenance.

It wasn't meant to be clever.
I was just posting it because it shows something other than what the Priller video depicts the stereotypical Ducati rider as being... which is a wealthy douchebag that buys an Italian bike as a status symbol and can't ride for shit.

Paris may give you hepatitis, but the Aprilia will give your garage AIDS?
I didn't think there was anything particularly clever about the first commercial. But any excuse to break balls is ok by me :P
those bastards...i lol'd
At least now I know what to get my son for Xmas....well, a late xmas gift...

Don't read "response" too literally -- the Xaus video went up in 2007...
Of course, Aprilia's scooter overlords have no problem switching the message around 180 degrees...

Doesn't have to be a late one...
I've seen them for sale in the local Sears. (Around the tool/lawnmower section.)
Might be worth checking.
make the beast with two backs Aprilia. Only douches ride Italian bikes. Real men ride bikes like this.
that thing looks supa safe.
Real men don't care about safety, ya girlie-man. [cheeky]
I really like the factory fart vents.
i put those on mine but discovered the leather still bubbles up.
Lay off the chipotle.
Just found one of those Mini Ducati's on Smeeebay for $199.00 Maybe now my son will quit climbing on my monster, twisting the throttle and going "varooom varooom"
