141 hp, 115 ft-lb (0 to 6400RPM), single gear, ohlins, brembo...
Hmm... makes you wonder what 115ft-lb of torque linearly available from 0 to 6400RPM feels like...
I just saw that bike at the Long Beach Motorcycle Show.
Really nice looking in person!! They claimed it's a 160mph electric!!
Pshh chip yates is campaigning a 194bhp 295ft/lb electric in WERA heavyweight twins next year

I can't tell if that actually IS slow or if it just seems slow because of the way the bike sounds...

Watch with the sound off.
The engine noise seems right in the human speech area. Definitely will need to wear earplugs.

(most) racers already do...
hell, i wear 'em on the street just to minimize the wind noise in my helmet, let alone motor noise.
I wear em too, just always thought they would be a bit more silent...
Can't imagine not having to shift.
Ever.
I thought it's too loud for an electric bike too.
Yep, I wear earplugs all the time too.

Exactly!! Like riding a scooter, only that it's a 141hp scooter with that much torque from 0 rpm.
I bet you can wheelie at will on that bike, with just a twist of the throttle.
Burnouts must be easy and more fun too... no great, no clutch
On the negative side, I bet it's more difficult coming out of corners on the track, with a risk of highsiding at the slightest throttle control mistake.
I notice none of these companies are going on about the weight of these things. They must be heavy!

it's been discussed... i think the yates bike is ~500lbs... batteries are heavy.

Yeah, it still looks slow.
i don't think the lap in the video was an "at speed" lap.

I hope not.
I kinda wonder why they chose to show that lap and not a hot one though.

There might be more, that was his first ride on it.
