Title: Re: Which battery charger system brand? Post by: Düb Lüv on December 29, 2010, 07:55:08 PM i have the $60 battery tender brand. i really like the quick connect charger cable. i have mine constantly charged.
have you ever though of getting a small battery warmer? around freezing or lower temps your battery would have 30-40% less power. that's when the battery warmer comes into play. they're around $20-$30. Post by: Timmy Tucker on December 29, 2010, 09:26:39 PM I have the Deltran Battery Tender Jr. It's conveniently small (it's just a wall wart), has long leads and comes with removable alligator clips, a quick connect w/ an adapter for the bike, and a storage bag. I snagged one off of Amazon back in August for $20.

I have a Battery Tender Jr, a regular Battery Tender, and this Schumacher charger, and I prefer the Schumacher. It's a bit more intelligent than a Battery Tender, recognizing when it is hooked up wrong, recognizing if the battery is getting too hot, and it has additional lights to show what it's doing. It has the same connectors as a Battery Tender, so you can use it on bikes with the battery tender plugs attached. They originally sold for $18.00. I got mine for $20.00, but the price has gone up again. It's still a good deal. |
