Title: Memorial concert tonight at Club Dada
Post by: RED on January 06, 2011, 09:16:02 AM
Don't know if there are any fans of the local band called Spector 45, a punk revival band in Deep Ellum, but their lead and front man Frankie 45 Campagna passed away last Saturday and there is a huge concert tonight at Club Dada. The street in front of the club and The Kettle Art Gallery are going to be blocked off for motorycles only. They request that all motorcycles be lined up no later than 6:45. At 7:00pm they will ask the cycles to start up and rev to start the concert. You can YouTube Spector 45 if you want to hear them. Just thought I'd post this in here because he was also a rider. Thanks.

Offed himself.

Yeah I was going to say he didn't pass away, he killed himself.  As much as I like to support local bands, I don't really support young talented people killing themselves because of whatever difficult situation they think is so bad that life isn't worth it.  A casual aquaintence of mine lives over near his place.

I heard about this just recently, and can only shake my head.  Now his selfish act is being glorified by this.  /shrug no interest.
