Title: Size of large pivot for levers? Post by: 671M900 on January 09, 2011, 07:25:02 AM So, a local seller has a pair of CRG's for sale, but before I go over to even look at them, I'm curious as to the size of the pivot on the goldlines on my M900. I know for sure I have the large pivot, as I had an extra set of levers from the PO, which didn't fit, they were too small, however, one was ducati branded and the other was the 4 position brembos. What's the diameter of the large pivots?

Is that because they came with either coffins or goldlines? If so, which other ducati bikes came with goldlines with the large pivot? 916/748? 996? Title: Re: Size of large pivot for levers? Post by: booger on January 09, 2011, 05:36:59 PM Hollow pivot goldline masters are commonly known as 916 or early-style goldlines. If you're ordering online, just order a set for a 916 Superbike. Levers for M620/695/696/750/796/800 would fit but those bikes have the coffins with the clutch interlock switch, which your bike may or may not utilize.

My monster does not use a clutch switch. the 916 has the vertical split clamp as opposed to the later horizontal split, right? Title: Re: Size of large pivot for levers? [bacon] [bacon]So, would the levers for all monsters mentioned be the hollow pivot by default? Since I do not need the clutch switch, I could use the monsters mentioned? Title: Re: Size of large pivot for levers? Post by: booger on January 10, 2011, 11:12:42 AM I don't really know what you're referring to about the vert/horiz split clamps. That shouldn't matter anyway. All I'm saying, is if you have the hollow pivot Goldlines that don't have the clutch switch, then get levers for 916/early style Goldlines. The levers for the hollow pivot black coffin masters will work, but will have an extra piece machined into them on the underside of the lever meant to depress the clutch switch which you do not need. So wherever you get your levers, get ones designed for the 916. If you are still uncertain ask Fred at Yoyodyne, but it's pretty clear at this point.

You know, the only clamps on the master cylinders... Early style with the hollow pivot, which means 916 style, right? http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10.5053.27 (http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10.5053.27) Later style with the solid type pivot : http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10.6870.18 (http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=10.6870.18) Thanks guys! |
