Happy New Year. I went for a 'quick' ride to Falls Creek last week with a mate. I know what you mean. The surface of the road reminded me of the Bonang Highway. When I rode the Bonang for the first time I felt exactly the same way. However, riding the Bogong High Plains Road was different. Maybe it was because weather wise it was the perfect day for riding or simply that in the past year I finally got it in my head to trust the grip of the front tyre. The super tight downhill section was a different story. With loose stones everywhere that made it a bit sketchy. Otherwise what a magnificent stretch of road.
