Post by: Jett on January 11, 2011, 08:43:47 PM
My 01 M750, it does not have a windscreen. I am looking at getting one but the website I looked at says i need a front fairing/cowl. I am a noob and dont know these things. Anyways, what is the cheapest I can do a good windscreen for my bike? ???

Look here.  Nice selection, good service and a board sponsor.  I have a Dart on mine.

I've always liked having one.  Much like me, they are good looking and break the wind ;D ;D

I'm 6'4" with a 44" chest.  Nothing breaks the wind short of a damn windsail mounted to the front of my bike :)

I break enough wind to fill a sail...

Umm... I live in Oregon. With wind and rain alone a windscreen is pretty much a must (if i want to be comfortable).

this is where i get all my stuff and i love it. do i need the Carbon Fiber SSR Front Fairing to match the SSR Polycarbonate Windscreen. that is the one i am looking at getting. i have a 01 M750 with just the headlight. if i got just the windscreen could i put it on or do i need the front fairing?

I'm 5' 11"... My Dark came with nothing... After adding the Dart Flyscreen, I find it much more comfortable to ride longer hauls. It does deflect quite a bit, despite not being large.

Doesn't make much of a difference on urban commuting though, as it only REALLY impacts airflow at the higher speeds.

The front fairing is the carbon / lower / opaque part.

The windscreen is the clear / upper part.

I like the cockpit and the windy. Do these attach to the headlight?

Yes.  Call Jeff at Monsterparts and he will help you make a decision.  He also knows what fits what without modification.
