Hello
can someone inform me of the maximum recommended length I can drop the triples
down the fork staunchion's on an 2006 S2R1000 . to avoid contact of the front wheel with forward cylinder .
Measuring above the top yolk how much stanchion can be exposed ?
Measurement from top of triple to the flat end of the staunchion tube excluding the preload adjuster.
Thank-you
It will get pretty twitchy before you drop them that much if you have raised the rear.
What are you trying to accomplish?
Mounting clip-ons above the triple?

the previous owner had them at max height with bar risers + an extra spacer
It felt like a chopper with ape bars [laugh] and turned in way too slow for me.
I have dropped them an inch but just concerned it may be too much.
Bike does not feel twitchy and turns in the way I like it at the moment.

It sounds like you've dropped them just the right amount.

i dropped mine about an inch (cant remember exactly...) when i put on a SpeedyMoto top triple. much more responsive turn in.
You should raise the rear.
