Title: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: bailes23 on January 19, 2011, 05:14:15 PM Hey guys,
I'm hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here. My bike currently has Remus high-mount pipes, that are mounted with the Ventura rack (see pic). I want to remove the rack but require the original hangers to do so. Any idea where I can get the original DP Remus High mount brackets from? Previous posts have pointed to monsterparts but I can’t seem to find it there. Cheers, Bailes (http://i54.tinypic.com/2ihrpde.jpg) Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: COP TZR on January 19, 2011, 07:47:18 PM I think what you are after is the same brackets that I've been trying to hunt down for a while now. They are made of aluminum and mount underneath your subframe using some existing hardware that mounts to your seat lock and tail light bracket ( I think )
Anyways, I found a picture of what I'm talking about. Look at the traingular brackets that are to the left of the carbon exhaust shields in this picture. If anyone knows where I can get these, please advise. thanks (http://i.ebayimg.com/10/!CCrsLbgBGk~$(KGrHqN,!iME0HTqkL)ZBNL6b0e8+g~~_12.JPG) Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? SOme of the high mount systems come with them and you might be able to order thru them. Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: COP TZR on January 19, 2011, 08:03:04 PM I think Remus has the same brackets. Are these an OEM part from Ducati Performance or ???
Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: bailes23 on January 19, 2011, 08:08:47 PM Yep COP TZR, the ones in your picture above are what I'm after! I believe the termis and remus use the same bracket!
Thanks ducatiz & DarkStaR, I'll ask Spareshack! Anyone else have any ideas or want to offload some used ones to me :) Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: ducatiz on January 19, 2011, 08:16:27 PM Let me know what you find out. I'm after a set myself. Nichols used to make them for the 93-98 SS bikes. I don't know if they would fit. I bought the last set about a year ago. You might have to have a set made. Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: COP TZR on January 21, 2011, 10:02:00 AM I'm waiting on a reply from Remus. Not sure how to get a hold of Termignoni. The contact info on their site doesnt work properly. It also says something about all Ducati inquiries must go thru to Ducati.
This is becoming a pain in the arse [bang] Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: COP TZR on January 26, 2011, 06:51:56 PM still no luck.
Title: Re: Remus Highmount bracket? Post by: Jarvicious on January 26, 2011, 10:06:09 PM It doesn't look like it would be that difficult to build, or have someone build for you. If I remember, the subframe is 3/4" od (give or take, correct me if I'm wrong here) so finding some random clamp like this one (http://this one) then building a really simple triangular bracket should be cake. I don't know what Termi/Remus would charge for just that mounting bracket but it may be the same amount via a local fabrication shop.
