Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: mostro-nero on January 24, 2011, 05:33:11 AM it essentially looks like they placed a rear swingarm on the front complete with the shock absorber...
it has to be a work in progress as there is no drivetrain, no front breaks... im suprised the camera didnt break just by looking at it... Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: Goat_Herder on January 24, 2011, 06:57:11 AM i wonder if they road that bike to the show... [bang] I think that bike rode the short bus to the show.Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: pennyrobber on January 24, 2011, 08:57:00 AM So many nice bikes. Hell, at least that odd duck gave me a good laugh.

Gulf colors (although not liking the Ducati in place of the Gulf) and that exhaust... nice Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: Monster Dave on January 24, 2011, 10:19:31 AM meh...
There's modified then there's WTF!! [cheeky] Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: xcaptainxbloodx on January 24, 2011, 10:21:11 AM I dont know what you guys are on about, that double swingarm bike is rad. pretty sure its not meant to be a rideable bike in anyway (how does it turn?) but just as a realized sketch its pretty awesome.
im sure its got a ways to go before its done, but damn! using a second swingarm as a base for a custom single sided hub steering front end deserves respect! Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: Statler on January 24, 2011, 10:27:33 AM but damn! using a second swingarm as a base for a custom single sided hub steering front end deserves respect! as a joke to do to a buddy's bike over the winter while he's in Europe, perhaps. Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: arai_speed on January 24, 2011, 04:08:30 PM I think that's considered modern art...sorta like:

(crack-pipe & welder)...

(crack-pipe & welder)... You gotta give him partial credit for making a new swingarm instead of just modifying a stocker ( ans a reasonable facsimile of the real one at that) Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: Rob Hilding on January 25, 2011, 09:35:09 AM Damn good thing it's not YELLOW
;) Title: Re: Modified Ducatis at the Verona Motor Bike Expo Post by: sbrguy on January 25, 2011, 09:54:03 AM well the guy was going for the whole bimota thing with the dual swing arms but it obviously didn't come out as nice as the bimota version.

Really? I thought he was going more for this, but wound up using the wrong ends: (http://cache3.asset-cache.net/xc/3309196.jpg?v=1&c=NewsMaker&k=2&d=45B0EB3381F7834DF034F73E3B6D789D5ABB59468305A21B0ACFB0318981C9EF) |
