not sure, but wanted to see what it looked like
Most aftermarket ones are thick enough to act as a slider. I have a speedymoto one i think, im not sure, eitehr way, ive tested it and its He Man Approved.
Got the billet one on my bike, this is for the missus, and i'm trying to cover the entire bike in slider material so if/when she forgets to put the sidestand down, or whatnot, its not a total loss.
got frame, bar and axle sliders so far.
thinking about the woodcraft clutch cover next (its a 900)
Moto Corse has one that goes around the water pump.
Can't remember if it's for a Ducati and don't know if it fits air cooled bikes.
Checked the products from Axljak and its not one of theirs
And its not altrider
i stand corrected, its by R&G and its for the 796 etc style covers:

have that too, havent tested it yet. but i can tell you that im sure it works seeing how i destroyed my last clutch cover (speedymoto 5 spoke)
got picks of how fubared the SM cover ended up?
Looks like the "flow" and the "scudo" could withstand something substantial, but not many of the others.
Sorry no pics, but the majority of the damage is located on the area where wood craft puts a slider. I didnt know if i would get the steel or aluminum one. The aluminum is double the thickness, the steel though is stronger.
I ended up with the aluminum one because im more worried about my bike being knocked over than it sliding across the pavement ( at that point the bike is the last thing im concerned about)

It's for a Ducati, but I still don't know if it fits air cooled bikes.....
If it does, it might protect something [coffee]

No water pump on air-cooled bikes, and no holes where one would be, so no way to mount a water pump protector. The adv rider guys came out with a cool one for the mts1200 and is usable on the other 4v for protection at the track. The stock impeller housing is easily rubbed through in a lowside I saw first hand at barber.
