Nascar to get fuel injection (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89436).
It's a slippery slope I tell ya... it starts with FI, and who knows where it might end up? Modern vehicles? Shameful.
Hopefully not a derby.

"cheat proof system"?
Ha!
Next thing you'll say is that they can put more than 1 camshaft in it, or that pushrods go the way of the dinosaur!!!
What's next?!? Over-drive transmissions? All wheel drive? Suspension that allows right turns? Tracks that have more than 4 corners? Hybrids?!?
Don't worry NASCRAP faithful. They will still have their crappy format and punishment for driving too fast. They are probably adding FI with a radio transmitter so that overachieving fast guys can be slowed down. Cuz that's racin!
Sorry if I sound jaded, but NASCRAP is the WWF of motorsports.

Agreed, it died with the introduction of "The Chase", similar to the death of open wheel when the IRL was formed.

It was starting to go downhill as early as 2000 imho. I was a pretty big fan until then. Can't stomach it now. Hell, I live just down the road from Bristol and get free tickets and I haven't been there in over 10 years.
