I'm updating to the adjustable Showas, powder coating the frame, Cycle Cat Triple and a few other goodies...in the Process, I am considering a single sided rear swing arm... You boys with a bit more experience than me might know what options I have for that 800 motor. This might be a phase 2 kinda thing for mid-summer as I assemble needed parts. Suggestions? Shim the engine case, chop the frame and relocate the shock rocker arm's pivot to accommodate the SSS shock. With the newer Monsters it's not worth the work and money to do a SSS conversion. Plus the new Monster swingarm is nicer with the trellis design. I reckon that there are only about 5 documented cases of SSS conversion for the pre-2004 monsters on the net. Having said that, I did it simply because I want to know that I can do it :) Now I'm trying to fit a high mount exhaust to the SSS. Painful. Title: Re: single sided swing arm conversion...
