Title: Sport 1000/GT1000 Tail light wiring question
Post by: Buckethead on February 14, 2011, 02:11:58 PM
Need a hand from the collective.

Tail light assembly on the Sport Classic line has 5 wires.

Black is ground, obviously. Yellow is running taillight. Grey w/red is brake.

The two turn signal + wires are orange and white w/black. Which one is the left and which one is the right?

Thanks in advance,

Okay, found THIS (http://www.ducati.ms/gallery/showimage.php?i=7423&original=1). Looks like white/black is left. Can anyone confirm for me real quick?

you could just plug it in and turn on the blinkers.... if its the right wire, then it either wont turn on, or it will turn on opposite of the switch depending on what blinker u selected.

but

1- Common Ground
2- Brake Running
3- Brake STOP
4- Left Blink
5- Right Blink

you're not going to blow anything unless u start touching the live wires together.

I know. I've got a DC power supply at work that I've been playing around with, and I know the wires are all connected and everything works. I'd just rather wire it up right the first time, rather than have caddy-corner flashers when I plug it in, you know?

If it's worth doing...
