Title: Adjusting a radial master?
Post by: stopintime on February 15, 2011, 04:10:08 PM
How do you (and then I) adjust for free play?

It's quite easy on my current coffin master, but there's more to it on radials?

Threaded plunger/barrel/set screw/glue/heat gun - or more?
Unwind plunger until no movement in reservoir, then go back a half or full turn - something like that?

OEM Radial Masters = Threaded plunger/barrel & set screw.  Similar to goldlines, but different location/arrangement.

Thanks  [thumbsup]

Does the lever assembly come apart for each trial and error?

Is the movement (possible spraying :o) of fluid in the open reservoir the same?
I use that to determine when it's too much.

Adjustments can be made without any disassembly.

I never bothered to look.
