Title: Benz and Ducati? Post by: muskrat on February 15, 2011, 05:19:17 PM I was intrigued by the AMG/Ducati partnership but now see nothing. Updates? I have both and, like I need more Duc shit, would like to see what their plan is - my two favorite brands.

no difference to me. Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: junior varsity on February 15, 2011, 07:14:29 PM there are going to be a few ducatis as show pieces at a local mb dealership so i hear from my last visit down to AMS, but that's a local partnership in tribute to the race sponsorship
Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: muskrat on February 15, 2011, 07:31:09 PM well that sucks. I was just in the Benz dealer tonight and they know nothing other than a "partnership." So much for dreaming about an AMG style Monster. :-[

Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: xcaptainxbloodx on February 15, 2011, 10:40:55 PM Mercedez/Duc version of the Harley/Ford collab? [puke]
Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: zooom on February 16, 2011, 05:29:07 AM Mercedez/Duc version of the Harley/Ford collab? EXCEPT it'd be in the form of one of those Benz Sprinters decked out as a trackday hauler which I think would be cooler than that SEMA Toyota 'Sedici hauler from a couple years back which is still ultimately smarter than Ford slapping a Harley nameplate on a truck that you can't even put a bike in the back of.... Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: muskrat on February 16, 2011, 06:05:53 AM I agree that Ford/Harley has done a terrible job but that Toyota did look sweet. Too bad you couldn't use the truck bed for shit.
Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: junior varsity on February 16, 2011, 06:24:28 AM The Toyota was headed in the right direction for usefulness. Things I'd be looking for in a track-truck:
sides of the truck that were useful for storage. a low bed height for easy bike loading. front chock(s) tie down points integrated ramp mount posts for ez up snacks Title: Re: Benz and Ducati? Post by: muskrat on February 16, 2011, 03:55:36 PM and the [drink]?
I liked the idea but for the price they said it would cost it should have had a self-loading ramp, the playboy channel and recliners with cup holders. |
