Title: Pipemod Redux with ceramic coating (NEW PICS 3/24) Post by: IZ on February 15, 2011, 10:59:19 PM Reveals newer..smaller..lighter..darker cans!!
I just back from a 3 hour ride. Couldn't put the bike away! ;D Pics and sounds to soon come. Big thanks to CA Cycleworks for getting the cans to me so fast! Now..just waiting for the new K&N filter and fender eliminator. Title: Re: Total masectomy of stock cans (now w/ PICS) Post by: El Matador on February 16, 2011, 08:31:50 AM I opened this thread with the severe apprehension that a new IZ_pipemod pic was afoot. Thank god it wasnt.
Title: Re: Total masectomy of stock cans (now w/ PICS) Post by: pennyrobber on February 16, 2011, 08:48:41 AM Nice looking cans. I mean, wait...
Title: Re: Total masectomy of stock cans (now w/ PICS) Post by: IZ on February 16, 2011, 10:42:06 AM Oh shit! I guess I should make this into a tradition now. New pipemod pic is in order!!
Title: Re: Total masectomy of stock cans (now w/ PICS) Post by: thought on February 16, 2011, 12:18:57 PM keep us updated on these... i'm thinking about getting those too... torn between the ease of installation/tuning of the cf termi's or going with these instead...
Title: Re: Total masectomy of stock cans (now w/ PICS) Post by: IZ on February 16, 2011, 04:59:47 PM Nice rumble on the Arrows but not as loud as my Sils. Engine breaking with those is a beautiful sound. Even without the baffles in the Arrows, they seem a bit more tame. Not really what I wanted but I think the "Dark" line was made perfect for the Black 1100!

Title: Re: Pipemod Redux (now w/ PICS) Post by: thought on February 17, 2011, 09:27:51 AM thanks for the update man... and sound clips plz! haha
i'm still iffy btwn these and the termi's... i have a white 796 and i want a darker tone on my slipon's because i will probably ceramic coat the headers to match. how's the heat coming off the cans compared to the stockers? Title: Re: Pipemod Redux (now w/ PICS) Post by: IZ on February 17, 2011, 10:35:34 AM I regards to heat, still feels hot but that's coming from left pipe near sub frame. I'm getting it ceramic coated in a few weeks. Ill post up youtube for sound later. Well, unless you have your bike running. Title: Re: Pipemod Redux with ceramic coating (NEW PICS 3/24) Post by: thought on March 25, 2011, 06:38:03 AM looks great man :)
but ever since i saw how those termi's look ceramic coated... those arrows would look amazing in full black too... totally blend into the headers then. Title: Re: Pipemod Redux with ceramic coating (NEW PICS 3/24) Post by: IZ on March 25, 2011, 07:01:58 AM looks great man :) but ever since i saw how those termi's look ceramic coated... those arrows would look amazing in full black too... totally blend into the headers then. Thanks T! Still have to post sound byte. All black would look good. The MIVVs in CF would've have been that way with the black headers. I actually didn't want that since I have silver throughtout the bike. Black rearsets and forks coming soon though. Title: Re: Pipemod Redux with ceramic coating (NEW PICS 3/24) Post by: pennyrobber on March 25, 2011, 07:18:38 AM The coated pipe looks nice. Now all you need is to powder coat the passenger peg bracket (or do rearsets).
